Factory House is a Grade II Listed property in Southwell. In 2019 it was completely renovated from top to bottom turning it into the beautiful home it is today. The renovation was run and managed by Taynton's Construction Manager, Jonty, whilst working for Gusto Construction Ltd.

On the ground floor, the renovation included damp treatment to a large number of walls, re-positioning of the kitchen into the old dining room, a new opening made between the new kitchen & living room with a Chesney log burner installed in the living room, including a new flue and marble fire surround. Underfloor heating was also installed throughout the kitchen and living area, with a new utility and WC created in the old kitchen space. The old Victorian staircase was beautifully restored leading up to the first floor landing.

Upstairs, the two large bedrooms were re-plastered and decorated, including replacing some of the old damaged coving. The old bathroom was split into 2 separate rooms. One of these stayed as the main bathroom, accessed off the landing, with the other becoming an en-suite for the master bedroom, accessed through a new doorway. A high level glazing detail was installed between the two bathrooms to satisfy the Conservation officer, who felt it was important to keep a visual of the old coving running around the perimeter of the original bathroom. All of the original sliding sash windows were refurbished and the property had a full re-decoration, new ironmongery throughout and new floor finishes installed.

The new kitchen also gained two new openings to the rear garden, with a sliding sash and a pair of patio doors installed. A raised patio covered a large area at the back of the property, the original flagstones were relaid to the courtyard at the side of the house and the damaged brickwork was re-pointed where necessary.
